Superb Tony Evans HUGE Abstract Modernist Raku Ceramic Vase
The color is subtle yet rich, a mix of blue and pink/pink/mauve. The areas where blue turns into pink has an almost gray tint.
The finish ranges from lava to light sand patches, with just a hint of smooth, glass-hard, high-gloss finish.
These textures and colors are the result of removing the barrel from a 2000 degree F. oven and submerging it in a smoke chamber that dramatically changes the texture and finish.
