Beautiful 60's vintage Dutch design teak scissor lamp in good condition with a chocolate brown metal shade from the 70's. The lamp has a special mechanism, the arm can be tilted and pulled out; diagonally up, horizontally and diagonally down. It is an ingenious click mechanism made entirely of wood, invented by Dutch industrial designer T.J.W. Zweers that was patented in 1959. The lamp rotates 180 degrees from the wall plate and the reach can be extended to 110 cm as desired. The shade can also be tilted and can be fixed in the desired position by means of a wing nut. A beautiful example of Mid - Century industrial design, and absolutely a must have for vintage lovers. Dimensions max. extended (without shade) 110 cm min. extended (without shade) 35 cm height wall mount 37 cm height shade 16 cm diameter shade 26 cm The lamp is in good used vintage condition, with only minor signs of wear given its age and use. The shade has some minor scratches and dents. The brown and white paint of the metal shade is still beautifully vibrant. The lamp is fully functional, has the original wiring and European two pole plug Standard size Edison E17 fitting. Easily attached to the wall with two screws. Switch on the wall plate.
