Louis Comfort Tiffany (New York, February 18, 1848 – New York, January 17, 1933) was an American glass artist and designer. He is particularly known for his stained glass and his Art Nouveau and Art Deco lamps. He was also the first design director in Tiffany & Co., the company of his father Charles Lewis Tiffany.
These lamps are quite popular among collectors and the price of a rare original Tiffany lamp can run up to a million dollars. These auction prices are due to the increasing popularity of these lamps with famous and wealthy collectors.
