The frame of this signed Thonet stool was found when emptying the attic of an old school. Restored using classic methods and authentic material. Beautiful, solid, timeless.
The restoration did not seek to "make new" this stool. That would detract from the beautiful patina this stool has acquired after about 100 years. The seat is of course new but also, according to Thonet, canned.
