6 Original Thonet Bistro Chairs with a beautiful patina and aged wood. These are classic wooden chairs by Thonet probably from the bentwood series. All chairs have Thonet markings and a label referring to Vienna. This suggests that the chair is an authentic Thonet chair, probably produced in Thonet's Vienna workshop. These original Thonet chairs were produced around the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The text on the label refers to "Wien" (Vienna), indicating that this chair was probably produced during the period when Thonet had its main workshop in Vienna. The label suggests that the chair may predate 1922, when the factory passed to new owners after the death of Michael Thonet's sons.
The chairs have a nice patina. The wood has lived and bent wood has formed here and there (see last photo). The seats are solid and not damaged. The chair itself is also solid. The chairs obviously have normal signs of use given their age. Once suffered traces of memel, but now inactive.
