Product description
Design: Ben Stevens & Ralph Scheepers 2013
The idea to make lamps from cardboard arose after becoming acquainted with the designs of the Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. The cotton lamps and seating furniture by Gehry, designed in 1970, were the inspiration for the current designs by the young architects Ben Stevens & Ralph Scheepens.
The Dandy 640 hanging lamp from Think Paper is the second model in the series of 3 hanging lamps. The sustainable lamps from the Dutch design brand Think Paper, with production in Maastricht, are made from recycled cardboard.
The parts for the lamps are cut out using a laser-controlled machine. After this, the individual parts are provided with a fire-resistant coating. The lamp is then assembled by hand carefully and with love for detail. The Dandy hanging lamp is not suitable for hanging in damp areas. The lampshades are handmade and differ in shape. This really gives you a unique lamp in your home.
The Dandy 640 hanging lamp has a diameter of 640 mm and a height of 330 mm. The total height of the lamp including the black lacquered round ceiling rose is 2000 mm.
The beautiful hanging lamp has a large light opening at the bottom so that sufficient light is emitted downwards. The hanging lamp can be equipped with an energy-efficient dimmable LED lamp with E27 fitting.
