Linocut by Theo Elfrink (1923-2014) from 1963. Elfrink was a Dutch painter and graphic artist. Elfrink was educated at the Academy of Visual Arts in Arnhem and Eindhoven and worked in Babberich, Elten, Nuenen and since 1953 in Ubbergen. He also worked in Nijmegen, where he had a studio in the bridgehead of the Nijmegen Railway Bridge, and taught at the Free Academy Nijmegen. His work is particularly inspired by the surroundings of the Rijk van Nijmegen and hangs in Museum Het Valkhof, among others.
This linocut shows the bridgehead where Elfrink lived. The work is signed and dated in pencil lower right.
