THE WHITE HOLE. As an artist, I'm always trying to put thoughts, emotions and concepts into a form that people resonate with and understand. I was thinking about black holes and I thought, "I wonder what a white hole would look like." This is my idea of a white hole. Everything gets sucked into it. Do all the colors swirl around and try to avoid being sucked in, or do they come together joyfully and move in harmony toward the White Hole? Form your own opinion. It can be hung horizontally or vertically. This is a painting with painted sides of 4 cm. You can hang it without a frame.
My name is Jim Ewing. I am a Scottish painter and now live in Arnhem.
Before I retired, I owned two art galleries in Britain, one in Glasgow and one in Manchester.
After retirement, I spent 10 years cruising the Greek islands on my small yacht, painting and selling my work along the way.
In 2014, I moved to the Netherlands, set up my studio and began painting full-time.
Since then, I have sold my work in Britain, Ireland, Europe, Scandinavia, the U.S., Canada and even Taiwan.
I sell my work through local exhibitions, through various galleries and online. I also welcome visitors to my studio.
