Pierre Vauthey (1937-2019) was a versatile French artist, recognized both as a painter and photojournalist. As a photographer, he worked for the French press agency Sygma, capturing significant moments in French culture and society. At the same time, as a painter, he specialized in genre scenes and landscapes, often adopting a lively, colorful style. His pictorial works, although rare on the market, are appreciated for their vivid depiction of everyday life and French landscapes. They have been shown at various exhibitions. Pierre Vauthey died in 2019 at the age of 82, leaving behind him a notable artistic legacy in both photography and painting.
