Alexander Kargaltsev is an award winning American artist. He was born in Moscow. He came to New York in 2010 to study at the New York Film Academy. Ne never came back to Russia after applying for asylum in the United States. As a photographer, Kargaltsev is known for his series of nude male portraiture. Kargaltsev is represented by multiple galleries in the US and Europe, including "Gitana Rossa" in New York City. In 2012 he published a book "Asylum" of Russian gay asylum seekers in the USA. The book was accompanied by an exhibition in NYC and Netherlands "MooiMan" gallery. The copy of the book was presented to the King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and being kept in Royal Library. The photograph is printed on museum quality Hannemule German Etching archival paper. The photograph is signed by artist on the right white corner.
