Italian Mid Century desk lighting at its best. The Italian designer Oscar Torlasco created this beautiful table lamp for Lumi in the 1950's. The construction is made of brass and the base is made of marble. The adjustable reflector is made of aluminum. Lumi is an Italian lighting company founded in 1944. They are known for their excellence of handmade work with the best raw materials and an unprecedented precision in lighting. In the 1950s and 1960s, only the most important names like Gio Ponti and Oscar Torlasco were designing for Lumi. Oscar Torlasco was an Italian lighting designer, he won the 1959 Compasso d’Oro for street lighting. Oscar Torlasco designed lighting for Lumi and Stilkronen. Very little is currently known about Oscar Torlasco, apart for his amazing style; an organic and antique-ish combination. Elegant, avant-garde and perfectly Classic. Bulb Specifications: E-26 Bulb. Some normal traces of use, see the pictures. It has the original green paint on the reflector, it has traces of use. The lamp is rewired by a professional.
