Product description
For sale is a suite of six Art Deco high-back oak chairs with green leather seats, made in the first half of the 20th century (1920-30), attributable to the Hague School (according to the auctioneer; certificate of authenticity and value available on request). The set is in good overall condition (seats in perfect condition, no holes or tears to report / oak structures in good condition, only slight, discreet missing parts on the wood). A very unique set (impossible to find on the market)! L'École Haagse ("The Hague School") is the name of a group of designers who lived and worked mainly in The Hague (Netherlands), and who represented the functional and commercial direction of Art Deco. Their furniture, considered by many to be the pinnacle of modern design in the 20's and 30's, responded above all to a demand for functionality: the functionality and solidity of the furniture took precedence over its form, a form characterized by simple, clean and linear contours. Dimensions (cm) : 104.5 (H) x 43.5 (W) x 47 (D) x 47.5 (H seat). Weight (per unit) : 6.5 kg. Origin & date : Netherlands, 1920 - 1930. Condition : Good (light wear consistent with age and use).

Good to very good overall condition (discrete missing parts on the wood).
