Product description
Postmodernist bar stool called 'Frenesi' designed in 1984 by Transatlàntic. This seat was manufactured by the Spanish company Akaba. It was part of the group's Sensual Furniture project that aimed to bring erotic content into the context of stylish furniture. Fans of Star Trek may recognize this stool from the setting of several episodes of The Next Generation and Voyager. The stool is made of stainless steel and aluminum on which rests a seat in leather. The design group Transatlàntic was founded by three Spanish designers: Ramon Benedito, Lluìs Morillas and Josep Puig. The Frenesi has since found its way into several museums including the world-famous Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London.

The set is in nice vintage condition and has signs of use on the base in the form of light scratches that are not noticeable or distracting.
