Product description
This 1970 Spanish Brutalist has been given a very special jacket. She now looks somewhat aggressive and flouts every ergonomic law. Children especially can appreciate her soft teeth, but even they don't last too long. So yes it is a chair. But I would not use her as such. ...unless you want to offer a chair to someone who would rather see you leave again quickly. With that she does have a function; Great chair for in-laws, mortgage brokers and insurance agents-at-home. the idea for this project came from the horrible ergonomics of the original chair. Knowing that this chair would never be used as such, it lent itself particularly well to a fun experiment; could it become even more uncomfortable than it already was? Unintentionally, she resembled the cardboard cartons we pack our eggs in these days. and that's how you sit: "on eggs" - see there the EggChair. but not by Fritz Hansen. i hope this historical-holiday artifact is allowed to playfully display its ugliness somewhere.
Roger
On the back of the chair, the wood is cracked from drying out.
