Vintage space-age orange plastic stool Tam-Tam by Henry Massonnet for STAMP. Henry Massonnet's goal was simple: he wanted to design a compact, portable stool that could also serve as a storage container, perfect for fishermen. While initially, the stool found moderate success among its target audience, everything changed when a photo of Brigitte Bardot sitting on an orange Tam Tam went public. Overnight, the stool became a worldwide sensation, transforming it into an iconic symbol of 1960s design. Though the 1973 petroleum crisis forced many plastic furniture designs out of production, STAMP managed to keep the Tam Tam in production until the 1980s, solidifying its place as a beloved and timeless piece of furniture history. - Dimensions: Diameter 30, Height 45 cm. - Condition: Excellent overall with normal wear consistent with age. - Made in France.
