Product description
Woman with flowers and watering can. Made by Kispest / Gránit, socialist Hungary. What a beautiful socialist image this is; barefoot woman carrying a bunch of flowers and a watering can in the spirit of the ideals of socialism. Her skirt is tucked left and right under her waistband so that some can be carried in the folded part. Height 30.5 cm. Pedestal 8.4 x 7.8 cm. 600 grams. Statue is signed with a D at the bottom and is in perfect condition except for a micro chip at the bottom of her dress.
Kispest factory: The factory was nationalized after the war in 1948. In 1950, it was renamed the Fine Ceramic Works Granite Grinding Wheel and Stone Factory. In 2003, the factory closed permanently.
