Very pretty little vintage chevrette jug, in handmade terracotta from the South of France, vintage 40s-50s. Unglazed bottom, top and lid enamelled pale yellow, nice color. Glazed interior. Nice simple, traditional shape, large handle on top, small on back, small short tubular spout on front and small round lid with knob. 17cm max width, spout + handles, 20cm max height with handle approx. 15cm without, 12-13cm max diameter. Very good overall condition, one discreet micro-loss on the rim of the spout, and a rather large but harmonious enamel flaw on one of the sides. Approx. 700gr.
