Product description
Restored to its former glory: cool vintage Skoghaug swivel armchair from the late 1960s. The tubular frame is original and clean. The chrome is tarnished here and there by time (fly rust). See photos.
The item can be taken apart and can be easily transported/moved.
Cushions, foam parts and dials were no longer there and have been renewed. On top of the steel tension springs, I incorporated a 30mm layer of polypress in a removable underlay cushion. Above that, a seat based on recycled foam flakes. For the upholstery, I used a heavy quality (semi-synthetic) furniture fabric in gray mottled. The fabric consists of a twill weave of black and white threads with a slight nap. Around the cushion is provided with a wide hem to make the object look more homely cq leisure'.

The undercarriage was once re-welded at
The pivot point. At that spot, of course, there is no chrome visible.
The chrome is good, but not peaky. There are very small dots of fly rust in several places - appropriate for a chair of this age.
The fixed plastic bearing bushing is neat and stable - but not 100% clearance free.
