For sale is a very rare red table lamp by SIS, model 836 from the 1960s.
The conical shade is coated red. The flexible gooseneck is chrome-plated and attached to a white and red plastic base with rocker switch.
The lamp is in very good, fully functional condition with age-appropriate patina.
Manufacturer: SIS-Licht Gebr. Lang GmbH & Co, Schweinfurt.
As one of the oldest lamp manufacturers in Germany, SIS was founded in 1924 by Erich Lang and his father Karl Lang as a metal factory that concentrated on lighting from the very beginning. The name SIS stands for Sirius Schweinfurt. The company is currently managed by Stefan Lang, the fourth generation.
