Large and sturdy barge lamp made of red copper with brass accents. Features a glass cylinder and sturdy brass clips for a reliable seal. This type of lamp was traditionally used on ships as a navigation or signal lamp. The top features a handle for easy transport. The patina and craftsmanship make this a wonderful collector's item or decorative piece with authentic maritime appeal. This type of lamp, known as a 'masthead lamp' w2962 the 'maritime', was traditionally used on ships to indicate the vessel's position and direction, especially during the night. Supplied with light source. E27 socket with black cable and on/off switch. The back has a small dent, for a good impression see the pictures.
