Product description
This set of wall lamps 'Clair-Obscur' (Model C-1516) by Raak Amsterdam were designed by the Raak design team (including Nanny Still-Mackinny, Tapiovaara Wirkkala and Frank Ligtelijn) in 1962. The 1962 Raak catalog described the lamps as a black triangular shape on the wall, one of the triangular sides rhythmically pierced with red copper tubes from which light glows. A play of bright and dark, of "clair" and "obscur. Especially beautiful in arrangements of 2 or 3 in a row. Source: Raak catalog 5 (1962) page 134. The price is for the set. The lamps are sold only as a set.
The condition of this set is still very good with minimal signs of use and wear (see photos). The lamps were completely rewired by us (including new fitting). All you need to do is screw in bulbs to enjoy.
