Product description
Rare wall shelf designed by renowned visual artist Constant Nieuwenhuijs in 1956 for 't Spectrum. This shelf has only been in production for 1 year and is therefore very rare. Constant Nieuwenhuijs was a member of the CoBrA movement and is known for his visionary architectural building complex New Babylon. Constant published a volume for spatial colorism, exploring space vs color as a response to the passive role color plays in modern architecture. These shelves are made of wire plastic in Red and Black and still have the original paint. The Red shelf is 51 cm wide, 18 cm high and 20 cm deep and the Black shelf is 76 cm wide, 18 cm high and 20 cm deep.

Condition: shelves are in very good condition, only minor signs of use. See photos.
