Set of bedside tables from the 1950s, designed by Jindřich Halabala for UP Zavody of former Czechoslovakia. Halabala was prominent designer who valued quality and functionality, combined with unique designs and high-quality materials. Executed in beech wood and finished in walnut veneer. Each cabinet has a sheet of dark opaxite glass as the top, this is no longer produced and gives the typical look characteristic of several midcentury items from the Czechoslovak region. Height: 56 cm. Width: 54 cm. Depth: 34 cm.
Please be aware that these cabinets are not new. they have been around for over 60 years, nevertheless they are in good vintage condition. Particulars or defects are included in the photos or text. The opaxite glass plates have minor use scratches, in one of the plates an air bubble was created in the manufacturing process which is still visible.
