Beautiful set of 6 dining chairs by Thonet; 4 dining chairs model 214 and 2 dining chairs with armrests referred to as model 214F. The color of the chairs is a very dark brown stained beech wood color which gives a beautiful contrast between the frame and the woven cane seats.
The 214 chair is the the classic bentwood chair par excellence and the direct descendant of the legendary 1859 bentwood chair no. 14.
All chairs have new cane seats.
This set was produced in 1979, come from the first owners, only show light traces of use for the age of the chairs.
