The set of 6 dining chairs is in excellent condition. The chairs look great in any room thanks to their timeless and elegant lines and are from the 1960s. We see them here in timeless white, which adapts to any interior design. The Italian architect and designer Augusto Savini designed this model at the end of the 1960s for the Italian manufacturer Giuseppe Pozzi from Milan. The chairs were first presented at the Lafayette Gallery in 1968. In 1969, the chairs were purchased by my parents in Paris and Savini has worked for many well-known Italian companies, including Cassina, Molteni and Gavina. He is best known for his elegant and functional modernist furniture designs, often made of wood and metal. He also taught industrial design at the Art Institute in Monza and was a founding member of ADI, the Association for Industrial Design. Savini's works have been exhibited in numerous art and design museums, including the MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Today, his designs are considered classics of Italian design.manufacture: Giuseppe Pozzi. These wonderful chairs are made entirely of wood, lacquered white with elegant brass inserts. They are in good original condition. Signs of wear and scratches consistent with age and use, therefore the chairs are listed here for a comparatively low price.
