This beautiful set of six antique Biedermeier dining chairs exudes elegance and craftsmanship. The chairs are made of high-quality mahogany, with beautifully curved backs and matching upholstery in a classic print. On the front, the chairs are beautifully decorated with stitched motifs. The chairs have beautifully turned front legs and sable legs at the back. The price refers to the set of six chairs. The chairs date from about 1830 and are in very good condition. The Biedermeier period is a period in German/Austrian (art) history that ran roughly from 1815 (the Congress of Vienna) to the revolutionary year of 1848. As in other European countries, this was a period of bourgeois reaction and political restoration. Furniture in the Biedermeier style was finely crafted. They were and are expensive.
