Fantastic set of four EA 208 Soft Pad Chairs by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra. This is the model version in black leather (nero). The back is covered with Plano fabric, also in black (nero). The side profiles, armrests, clamps and base are made of die-cast aluminum, chrome-plated. The Soft Pad Chairs pictured can be swiveled and are in a very good similar condition with signs of use typical of their age, which you can see in the extensive product photos. The Soft Pad Chairs were designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1969 and are considered one of the most important designs of the 20th century. They are similar in construction and shape to the Aluminum Chairs, but are softer and more voluptuous and adapt to the body. The chairs are ideal as visitor and conference chairs as well as for private use, e.g. for the home office or as dining chairs. Dimensions: 84cm height x 58cm width x 59cm depth Seat height: 51cm
