Product description
The chairs have a backrest with five rungs and four rounded wooden feet. There are 13 slotted screws on the underside of the seat (for fastening the backrest and the four wooden feet). The company logo and the quality seal of Victoria Werke AG Baar are depicted on the underside of the seat. This is a word and figurative mark with the Victoria lucky beetle and the inscription "Victoria furniture / beautiful Swiss quality / le beau meuble suisse de qualité 6812". The Victoria lucky beetle depicted is the stylized lucky beetle with striking geometric shapes (round body, two black dots on top, a black vertical line in the middle and a black area at the top in the shape of a segment of a circle, with two black squares above it as antennae), which was in use from 1957/58 to 1980 and was created by the Baar-based graphic designer and artist Elso Schiavo (born 1934). Before that, from 1939 to 1956/57, the naturalistic Victoria fortune beetle was in use.
