A classic cantilever set of 4 MG6 chairs in black saddle leather which is in very good condition. The thick leather shows minimal signs of wear, the chrome rods are in very good condition. The armrests are undamaged and the seams are solid. One of the chairs has had a new screw connection on one armrest. In comparison to the more well-known MG5, the MG6 has a closed backrest. The cantilever chairs were first developed in this style by Mart Stam in the 1920s and revived by Matteo Grassi in the 1970s. In 1880, the Italian manufacturer Matteo Grassi was founded as a manufacturer of saddles and riding equipment and over time developed into a manufacturer of high-quality designer furniture.
