Fantastic set of four Soft Pad Chairs EA 207 by Charles & Ray Eames for Vitra. This is the model version in black leather (nero). The back is covered with Plano fabric, also in black (nero). The side profiles, armrests, clamps and base are made of die-cast aluminum, chrome-plated.
The Soft Pad Chairs shown are in very good condition, as you can see from the extensive product photos. All chairs have a manufacturer's mark from Vitra.
The Soft Pad Chairs were designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1969 and are considered to be one of the most important designs of the 20th century. They are similar in construction and shape to the Aluminum Chairs, but are softer and more voluptuous and adapt to the body. The chairs are ideal as visitor and conference chairs as well as for private use, e.g. for the home office or as a dining chair.
