Iconic Scandinavian chairs. Fully relacquered 1970s examples. The CH 24 or "Wishbone Chair" is Hans Wegner's best-known design. The Wishbone Chair takes its name from the "Y" of its backrest, shaped like a chicken wishbone. Wegner's design was inspired by the Ming chairs on which Chinese merchants were photographed.
Wegner's Wishbone Chair is synonymous with solidity and comfort. It has become a timeless symbol of Scandinavian design.
Since its creation in 1950, it has never ceased to be produced by the same manufacturer, Carl Hansen, in his workshops in Denmark. Assembly and finishing are entirely handmade.
