Set of 3 OZOO 600 chairs designed in 1967 by Marc Berthier. The OZOO series was manufactured by D.A.N. and distributed by Roche Bobois (France) and Ingo Maurer (Germany).
These Space Age-style chairs were made in one piece in polyester reinforced with fiberglass. At the time, it was a bold design where the corners are softened and the chair takes on a geometric shape.
These practical and ergonomic chairs are an iconic piece of design history!
Marc Berthier won several international awards including the Grand Prix National de Création Industrielle, the Compasso d'Oro, the medaille de l'Art et de l'Industrie, and the New York Accent Design. Several of his works have been exhibited in many museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The chairs have signs of use specific to their age, especially in the form of (light) scratches. Otherwise, they are in nice vintage condition and there is no crack anywhere. Also, they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
