Product description
Seat called RH-301 designed by Robert Haussmann in 1954. This seat was made by the very respectable Swiss company De Sede. Robert Haussmann, a Swiss architect, designed the seat as an homage to his idol Mies van der Rohe. Consequently, similarities can be drawn between the famous Barcelona seat and the RH301. For example, the frame is made in a hard steel with high-gloss chrome finish. The webbing that supports the cushions is also in heavy harness leather. The individual cushions for back and seat are upholstered in piping and high quality leather, including the buttons. The design of the RH-301 was awarded the "Compasso D'oro" award. This is the most prestigious design award from Italy after an idea by Gio Ponti, among others.

The seat is in nice condition. The frame shows light stains of oxidation here and there but in personal opinion this is not disturbing (see photos). The cushions were reupholstered with high quality leather keeping the original webbing which gives a nice patina look.
