Scheurich ceramic vase. West German Mid - Century Ceramics. '50-'70 Scheurich is one of the best-known manufacturers of ceramics from West Germany, best known for their vases that were popular in the 1950s to 1970s. These vases are loved for their unique designs, vibrant colors and use of various glazing techniques, such as the famous "fat lava" glaze. Scheurich vases often have striking patterns and colors. They are hand-painted. This little vase is 21.5 cm high and the diameter is 11cm. The vase is in very good condition, on the blue surface there is a small flaking but pretty much not visible. The vase is marked on the bottom with following identification code 244/22 In short this vase is not only very decorative in different interiors but they are also a piece of history. They reflect the post-war economic boom and the creative freedom designers had at that time!
