Product description
Salvador Dali "Bucephale" from the series "les chevaux daliens". Lithograph on arches paper, published in 1983 by Georges Israel.
The horse theme was used frequently throughout Dali's career. The horse is seen as a symbol of beauty and elegance, as well as a symbol of strength and rawness. This portfolio is a tribute to the animal itself and all the symbols it represents in modern culture, mythology and history of humanity and art.
This edition was printed during Salvador Dali's lifetime and with his permission. Each lithograph was authorized, checked and validated by Salvador Dali and by SPADEM (Société de la Propriété Artistique des Dessins et Modèles), the copyright protection and collecting organization founded by visual artists and their heirs in France.
The lithograph bears the copyright of SPADEM and the dry stamp of the publishers Armand & Georges Israel (see photo 4).
