Salomon Garf enjoyed a thorough art education at the Amsterdam Academy with professors Allebé, Dake and Van der Waay before settling in Blaricum in 1903. His typical Laren genre scenes, figure pieces and portraits sold well at the Laren Art Gallery. Still lifes he painted for his own pleasure. They clearly show his great artistic talent, as do his beautiful, mundane portrait and figure pieces.
Viewing is of course possible. We also have our own in-house frame shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the branch organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of them, please let us know.
