Rozenburg The Hague Art Nouveau plated vase, model 353, with mark, dated 1893 Rozenburg: period 1893-1898 In the year 1893 the logo of the stork appears. The stork also appears in the city arms of The Hague. With the choice of this bird in the logo, the Rozenburg factory wanted to emphasize its The Hague roots. The year letters are carried through to the letter N. So 1893 = K, 1894 = L, 1895 = M, 1896 = NK, 1897 = K circled, 1898 = KP. Also appearing in this period are the fiat signs in the form of a cross, or a diamond. With these the chief of the painting room signed off painted vases for approval. with signs of age/use, appropriate to the age of this antique item (see photo')
