Wébé, Louis van Teeffelen round dining room table.
Louis van Teeffelen, the designer (on behalf of Wébé) of this dining room table hardly needs any further explanation. What is certain is that he was far ahead of his time and designed very progressive furniture at the time.
A good example of this is this table, where he presented a completely new model to both the furniture world and the users. Not a round table with a swing top, not an extendable round table with an intermediate leaf, but a rectangular table with 2 round ends became the basis for this unique model, which we also rarely see.
A construction has been made under the two straight pieces to extend the table into a round model with a total diameter of 140 cm. As said, in 2023 extremely rare. A "normal" round table is usually 100 centimeters in diameter, and occasionally you see a table with a diameter of 120 centimeters. This Louis van Teeffelen table is therefore 140 centimeters in size and, in our opinion, suitable for 5 to 6 people.
If your living room or kitchen is suitable for a rectangular table that also offers enough space for a large round table of 1.40 metres, then this is your chance. The table is in a good vintage condition, the signs of wear are appropriate for its age and can be described as minimal, the whole has been completely restored in our own workshop. The quality that Wébé delivered guarantees years of enjoyment of this beautiful dining room table, which will also prove to be a stylish and very durable investment that will retain its value in the coming years.
