Roger Collet (1933-2008) born in Switzerland, graduated from the École de Céramique de Chavannes Rennens in 1952, moved to Paris and worked with the Cloutier brothers. He moved to Vallauris in 1956 and worked with a number of ceramists, including Roger Capron. He opened his own studio in 1966, producing utilitarian pieces such as jugs and vases. From 1983 onwards, influenced by Chinese celadon, he produced monochrome pieces of great purity.
