Rob Scholte (born 1958) is a Dutch artist. He studied at the Minerva Academy in Groningen, the Free Academy in The Hague and eventually at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. Later, he was part of the artists' initiative W139, an exhibition space on Warmoesstraat of artists who wanted to offer an alternative to the (according to them) uniform supply of museums and galleries. Typical of Scholte's work is that he places existing images from the media and advertising in a new context, giving them new meaning. In doing so, the artist also tinkers with our notions of what is real, unique and authentic.
This silkscreen is in beautiful condition and is hand-signed by the artist. The work was created in 2019 and has edition number 101/111.
