Vase slightly rough on the outside with the inside opening up in a wide collar of smooth mother of pearl; designed for the exhibition at the Van Gogh Museum named; 'Paul Gauguin and the breakthrough into modernity'. Impressions of the South Pacific named after the Tuamotu archipelago in France Polynesia, resulting in a series of vases with the colors of Paul Gauguin's Tahitian landscape in mind.
