PATCHWORK is based on 50 - 80 year old hand-knotted Anatolian oriental carpets. A special finishing process gives them a unique "used look". After the original color has been removed, the rugs are recolored and cut into squares or rectangles of different sizes. Patches with similar colors are harmoniously matched and sewn together as a new patchwork rug. The unique piece is therefore made up of many small unique pieces.
