This Gispen office chair Model 1637 with armrests is completely refurbished. The back and seat foam have been replaced with new cold foam. The upholstery of the chair is a coarsely woven wool fabric by Camira in blended brown tones.
This Gispen 1637 office chair in very good condition apart from the signs of use that come with age then. All rotating, sprung, moving parts have been checked and lubricated or replaced as needed.
This office chair was designed in 1963 by A.R. Cordemeyer commissioned by design firm Gispen.
This is the deluxe version of the conference armchair no. 1265. In addition to its beautiful finish, the chair has a seat comfort that is second to none. The seat is good and in the back is a spring element which makes the chair even more comfortable. Because of this "tilting mechanism" under the seat, you can lean back while contemplating. The feet can rest normally on the floor while reclining. By means of a rotary knob, the seat height of this office chair can be adjusted. The base is robust and the cross frame has sturdy wheels. And of course, this model is rotatable.
