Product description
Kastholm was a trained blacksmith, but quickly turned to furniture design, which he learned under Finn Juhl. After training as a carpenter in Copenhagen, Preben Fabricius also studied interior design under Finn Juhl. He founded a joint studio with Preben Fabricius in 1961. Both are in the tradition of functional-aesthetic Scandinavian design, but were also influenced by the Bauhaus. At the end of the 1960s, Fabricius and Kastholm succeeded in developing an absolute icon of design history: the FK. This armchair stands for classic design. In 1969, the armchair was awarded the first Federal Prize for "Good Form".
This armchair shows some signs of use such as discoloration on the leather. These can all be seen in the pictures. The armchair also has a strong patina.
