Product description
A beautiful oil painting by French artist Raymond Biaussat (1932 - 2021)
Raymond Biaussat was a native of Dordogne, born in Vergt in 1932 and died in Périgueux in 2021. A painter as much as a poet, he has always retained a strong emotional bond for this territory despite having spent most of his career in Paris before to return to settle in Périgueux in 1992.
He studied at the École du Louvre. He mainly developed his style in the movement of figurative painting close to the School of Paris and exhibited at the Ror Volmar gallery before joining the art gallery of Place Beauvau at the end of the 1960s, directed by Jean Twink, as a permanent artist.
He defined his style, unique and easily recognizable, as both figurative and introspective. He is the author of numerous texts and illustrations, most often dealing with the feeling of love or his native Périgord, brought together in several art editions, produced by Pierre Fanlac, in particular.
Raymond Biaussat enjoys a notable reputation in his region of origin, where he is recognized as one of the main figurative painters of his generation.
