UFO-shaped pendant lamp manufactured by Rotaflex in the 1960s. This lamp from the 'Christals' series was designed by John & Sylvia Reid. It is made by a hollow wire in plastic covered on the outside with thousands of transparent lucite beads that provide a pleasant and typical ambient light. Due to its shape, the pendant lamp is very rare. Rotaflex received several design awards for this type of lamps including the coveted iF Design Award in 1957. They have since become a design classic.
The pendant lamp is in very nice vintage condition. Also, the wiring and ceiling cap were renewed.
