Rainer Daumiller is a furniture designer who was born in Germany and emigrated to Denmark in 1959. The sculptural wooden furniture represents Daumiller's love of natural materials and his connection with nature. The artist's work is strongly influenced by the ideas of the Austrian philosopher, social reformer and architect Rudolf Steiner. The Daumiller armchair was created by the designer in 1977 and is now his best-known design. The chair was recently reedited by Gubi and is currently experiencing a renaissance. The set consists of four chairs and a table. The table includes two extensions. The furniture shows signs of wear such as scratches and knocks.
