This "President" table - or desk lamp was designed and produced by Philips, after a design presumably by the famous Dutch architect and designer Louis Kalff (but produced after his retirement). The lampshade is made of anodized aluminum and the rod of chromed metal and is one of Kalff's UFO-shaped models.
This version has 10 round perforations in a circle on the lamp's chromed shade. The lamp has two lamp fittings (E27). There is a separate switch for each fitting. A new plug was provided on the original wiring which is still in excellent condition.
The lamp has a black lacquered round flat base with the Philips logo.
The lamp is in excellent condition with normal signs of use consistent with age. The lamp comes fully working including bulbs. Some light dents and scratches in the shade are not disturbing and only visible in top view and bright light from a short distance. See photos (marked with blue circles) for the most noticeable signs of use. This lamp is one of the best-preserved editions of the President we have already gotten our hands on.
