Product description
Willem G. Wevers (1953_2005) became a well-known artist in staged photography in the 1980's-90's after training as a painter and 9 years of study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Amersfoort. He used art history as food and stimulus, but advertising items, comic strips, and snapshots were also on his worktable. From this familiar and universal visible world, he made personal reflections and dream images in which he usually acted himself. Wevers was not a photographer. He did not own a camera himself. His worksnwere portrayed by professional photographers after many sketches. In many works Wevers himself is present. His body, mind and ideas merge here into a biographical monument.
Pp is yellowed at edges. Otherwise, the work itself is completely intact.
