The PH 4/3 table lamp by Louis Poulsen is a beautiful table lamp/reading lamp designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen. All three shades are pressed aluminum, with a white painted interior that provides soft, downward and completely glare-free light. The iconic three-cap system is a design by Danish Poul Henningsen, who, in collaboration with Louis Poulsen, drew the first PH lamps for an exhibition in Paris between 1925-1926. Here he used a scientific perspective, with the lamp being constructed according to the logarithmic spiral, a mathematical curve common in nature. This ensures a uniform distribution of light across the entire curve of the shade. The numbers of the PH lamps refer to the size of the shades, while the letters come from the designer's initials.
